Coin Scale Weigh

What coins (preferably in US coinage) use a high percentage of platinum? Please include sources or be specific?

Question:
DO NOT mention the U.S. Eagle, Chinese Panda, and Australian Koala Bear platinum coins; I already know about those.


Answer: The only US coins with platinum are the platinum American Eagle series. There is the Canadian Maple Leaf platinum series. The Isle of Man, and the island nation of Tonga, Turks and Caicos Islands, Switzerland, and Australia have platinum coins. There are also a few privately minted platinum items. I have heard that counterfeiters sometimes used platinum when making their wares before platinum was so valuable. I hope that helps.
